Filipino actress and Cannes newcomer Kylie Verzosa made a “splash” at the premiere of Black Flies, dazzling in a pink display of sparkling mermaid-inspired style.

She paired the one-of-a-kind blush-coloured dress by Mark Bumgarner with a custom-made diamond necklace by Filipino home-grown luxury jewellery brand Lvna by Drake Dustin. The Midnight Pink Tears necklace featured a magnificent 45-carat rare pink pear cut precious tourmaline gemstone centrepiece with a tantalising display of over 43.5-carat diamonds throughout.

2. Araya A. Hargate

Thai actress and TV host Araya A. Hargate is a firm fixture on Cannes red carpets thanks to her ambassadorship with L’Oréal – and she often brings daring looks to the esteemed event.

Attending the Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny premiere, Hargate wore a transparent red Jean Paul Gaultier 2022 couture one-piece with an attached train.

The bold outfit was made red hot with not one but two impressive Serpenti necklaces from Bulgari and multiple Bulgari Serpenti Viper rings and bracelets. Finishing the look were (you guessed it) Bulgari Serpenti earrings, proving you can never wear or own too many Bulgari pieces.

3. Raline Shah

Indonesian actress and philanthropist Raline Shah showed the world why she is renowned for her impeccable style at the premiere of Killers of the Flower Moon. She wore a stunning cobalt blue gown with dramatic structured shoulder detailing from couturier Gaurav Gupta.

Although her dress was a show-stopper, the real jewel of this look was the stunning diamond-encrusted necklace and earring set from Chopard, who has been the official partner of the Cannes Film Festival since 1998.

4. Gong Li

A vision in red thanks to designer Elie Saab, Gong Li completed her red carpet look for the star-studded premiere of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny with a suite of Cartier jewels, including ruby and diamond earrings, two ruby and diamond rings and an iconic Panthère de Cartier ring made with white gold, onyx and tsavorites.

5. Soo Joo Park

Korean-American model-slash-DJ Soo Joo Park added a splash of colour to her 50s flapper-style black sequinned custom-designed YSL dress, with a pair of impressive emerald and paraiba tourmaline diamond-encrusted earrings and an emerald-cut green tourmaline, diamond ring from Chopard.

The earrings, paired with her stunning barely there make-up that accentuated her cheekbones, made this entire look shine even brighter than the diamonds she wore.

6. Elaine Zhong Chuxi

Actress Elaine Zhong Chuxi paid homage to her beloved Chinese heritage in an opulent Laurence Xu-designed couture dress, which beautifully combined Western-style cut-outs embellished with traditional Chinese symbolism.

The golden girl completed the look with a pair of Elsa Peretti gold mesh earrings and a Tiffany & Co. Schlumberger gold bracelet.

7. Tang Wei

Chinese actress Tang Wei showcased ethereal glamour on the Cannes red carpet, wearing an enviable and heart-stopping piece from Chopard. The yellow and white diamond-encrusted necklace and earrings set added a soft yet impressive sparkle to the actress’ Cannes red carpet look.

8. Gong Li

Gong Li’s jewellery at the premiere of Jeanne du Barry was so stunning we had to feature her twice. Wearing a unique black polo neck and ball skirt gown designed by Alaïa, Li coupled the look with the Imperio de Cartier high jewellery necklace made of emeralds, onyx and diamonds.

Adding extra sparkle to the all-black ensemble, she added Adamantine de Cartier high jewellery earrings, a Dahlia de Cartier bracelet and her favourite Cartier Panthère ring.

9. Guan Xiaotong

Chinese actress Guan Xiaotong walked the red carpet at the premiere of Jeanne du Barry in a striking long black strapless dress from Valentino’s spring/summer 2023 haute couture collection.

A Chinese brand ambassador for Maison Fred, it was no surprise Guan paired the look with the French label’s Chance Infinie Faith in Destiny set. This jewellery collection was inspired by the unique personality of the brand’s founder Fred Samuel and the set combines art deco influences along with featuring the lucky symbol, Chance Infinie.

10. Jessica Wang

Chinese-born, New York-based TikTok sensation Jessica Wang showed us once again why she has firmly cemented her global status as a style icon. She wore a daring Christian Siriano resort 2023 cut-out black gown paired with matching Bulgari gold and diamond-encrusted Serpenti necklace and earrings.
