Get ready for a sizzling August as a wave of K-pop icons returns with fresh tracks to set the summer alight. Headlining this month’s line-up are big names including Le Sserafim, Taemin, ZeroBaseOne (ZB1) and Nmixx, all poised to keep fans cool with their hot new releases.
Known for their outstanding onstage performances, K-pop girl group Nmixx are set to return with a new album, Fe3O4: Stick Out, slated for release on August 19.The girl group created buzz for its coming release with a teaser video released on July 29 featuring a glitchy device with a mysterious phone number on its screen.
Callers who dial the number are treated to eerie messages from each of the six Nmixx members depending on which number, from one to six, is pressed.
With their previous lead single, “Dash”, winning over both fans and the general public, expectations are high for how Nmixx will captivate listeners this time around.
In celebration of his 10th anniversary since debuting, Taemin will begin his first solo world tour, “Ephemeral Gaze”, starting with a performance in Korea on August 31.
ZB1 are also making a swift return in August with their fourth mini-album, Cinema Paradise.The rookie group unveiled a promotional poster for their new album via official social media channels on July 29, without revealing the exact date of its release. It comes three months after their last mini-album, You Had Me at Hello.
Building on their popularity, the group have sought to expand their global presence, performing at American events such as the Grammy Museum’s Global Spin Live and KCON LA 2024, further connecting with international fans.
K-pop girl group Le Sserafim will also release a new album at the end of August. Source Music, the group’s label, said the exact release date is not yet set. It will be their first release since February’s mini-album Easy.In addition, girl group Fromis_9 are set to return with their new album, Supersonic, on August 12, followed by rookie girl group Unis and their new single, “Curious”, on August 19.
